Once upon a time ...... I received a birthday-greeting from my sister far away. The saying printed inside was as followes:

Birthdays are like Hick-upps!

In one way you want to stop them,

but in the other you're waiting for the next one.

As I said - long time ago. Since then changed happiness to times were feelings got hurt, being followed by times of deep sadness

Today my sister who sent this card ages ago should celebrate her birthday. But she is gone into the land of shadow and I don't know if birthdays have any meaning in that land. Still - I think of her this year like I did in all those passed years and remember the times of narrow and good relationship. Nothing else matters.
